Yes, Zohar, when you programme the keys and plips using the CPH confidential code and Lexia you are programming the RFID chip in the key..

Keys can be re-programmed multiple times unlike the ECUs themselves...

I think that is is more accurate to say:

The RF ID chip in the key is one-time coded at the factory. Lexia can program the CPH to accept the code of a new key. The CPH os one time coded to pair with the other ECUs, but can be recoded multiple times to new keys.

I believe the small unit on top of the "CPH" is actually an alarm module. My car had the connectors but no module.

Also an ECU can be permanently unlocked so no chip is needed in the key.

By a specialist company, yes... Not something a Lexia can do sadly :(
