OK, it seems that there is an electro-valve gone open circuit, so that is the next thing to deal with.

Does anybody know if heated seats need to have anything enabled (such as in the BSi) for them to work? There is nothing happening re heating (no light on the control and no heat). It is not down to the fuses, as the maxi-fuse drives both the motors and the heaters, and the seats do move and the four lesser fuses are of the correct amperage and are fine.

They need 12v putting to the plugs under the carpets James.. The cables need adding from the small yellow fuse box above the bsi behind the glove box.

Aside of that I don't know if the seat elements work or not.

Well, my C5 is certainly giving my Lexia a workout (and my poor wallet conniptions!). One of the actuators on the turbocharger has gone open circuit (the one that manages V2C). It is the one that manages the vanes. It does not appear to be an item that can be purchased from Citroen (they want you buy the whole turbocharger!), but the part I want is on 0375 P1, and (if you were to get the correct diagram open) appears to be directly indicated by the '1' line (according to the mechanic). Does anybody have access to the diagram for this turbocharger (with a parts list)? The RPO is pre 11100.

The diagram I am looking at has the number 0601 01 172019A.

Failing the turbo diagram could somebody post up the wiring diagram, so I can check for an open circuit? Can anybody let me know what voltage the actuator is driven by (I can connect up my digital multi meter using the 'hold' function to see if there is a signal getting to the actuator).

Thanks, Mick. I have had a look on their website, and they don't seem to cover the C5 from 2007, but it was definitely worth checking out.

Probably would of been better to create a new post James when needing specific info - with long threads like this (which is more or less a blog from the title) they may not be read. With hundreds of posts to scan we (staff) tend to prioritise responses based on the post title.

Leave it with me, now I have seen this.

Your Turbo, for which there are no internal parts listed separately James. This engine has 2 fixed geometry turbos, with the first low inertia kicking in at low engine speeds and the second turbo kicks in at 2700 RPM, so collectively covering the entire engine speed range.
James Turbo.PNG
0375P1 (new OEM) is £2341.39
An Exchange Turbo is £1987.40

Both the above have an additional refundable surcharge of £260.40 when the old turbo is returned should you go down this route.

Thanks, Marc, that is very useful. Which pins for the V2C control (as it is this that my Lexia is showing as open circuit)?

I knew the turbo was expensive, but that is scaring the cr4p out of my wallet!

For 1397 (Compensation Electrovalve), wire 1451 compressor valve 2 signal goes from Pin 2 on the electrovalve to pin H2 on the same wiring block - it's all on the main diagram.

Well, time for a bit of an update, She passed her MoT yesterday (with advisories, which I am now working on), so that is OK. With reference to the turbo issue I found that (on the vacuum control block (or whatever it is called)) the latch moulding for one cable had become deformed, so the latch on the cable plug does not hold it in place. By using a cable tie around the latch clip it is now staying in place. It is safe to say the turbocharger is now fully operative, as her performance has definitely got more spirited, especially when the Sports button has been pressed! Yay! (Oh, and my Lexia went from showing a permanent, unclearable fault to a temporary, clearable one (and running the tests again after it was cleared showed there were no faults found in the Injection section)). Without the diagram from Marc I would not have known where to start looking (as the turbocharger is on the back of the engine and the vacuum control block is on the front!).

That's interesting. Have you got any pics James I know of another 2.2 hdi with a simmilar problem that may be the same thing.

Paul, the vacuum control block is on the front right of the engine, hidden under the second air intake. The plug with the cable tie (behind the three silver pipes) is the one that controls the V2C compensator valve.

Wow. Well found.

As for seat belts.. Its a common c5 issue.. Pull the belts out fully.. Peg it to stop it retracting and then soak the belts in hot soapy water over night.. Get all the crap out of them then dry them. Spray some furniture polish on them and let them back in... Should sort them out do I beleve..
