This is one of the most comprehensive kit-car galleries I have found, you may find something here similar to your mystery car.Zelandeth wrote:Good thoughts there, but it wasn't either of them (though I have now added another obscure car maker I know of).
Just going to have to keep my eyes open to see if it appears again...
Most of the Lamborghini replicas have Lamborghini style badges on the bonnet though, not really much like a MG badge.

Any Bus afficionardos will recognise this as a Bristol Lodekka. Earlier in the thread I offered silly points for spotting one-a doubledekker but not as high as a normal one allowing passage under some low bridges. Sadly its a post 30th September spot so its missed out on the 2015 season

Its a very nice cafe too

Can we have an "off-season spotting" thread please?

Classic Car Autumn/Winter Collection (Spring/Summer S.H.!)
bit of a mouthful of a title change but gives a home to a bit of Classic car/train/bus/aircraft/motorbike spotting in the "off-season" up North, and the feast of spring/summer spotting "doon Sooth"!addo wrote:Can we have an "off-season spotting" thread please?
I'll kick it off myself with what I presume is a Triumph Tunderbird (nice but a little too big and heavy looking for my personal taste) in the Autumn Northumberland sunshine yesterday.

...and yesterdays usual spot of a SAAB convertible

Over on one of the other forums I'm on the equivalent of this thread is simply titled "The definitive spotted thread" which acts as a catch all for anything interesting that anyone stumbles across.

....Today's "spot of the day"
There's something refreshing about the occasional bit of terrible photography. This is a drive-by view of a very presentable old beetle in West Boldon.

Very nearly got a picture of the Vulcan at the North-East Air Museum, but imagined it was just off the A1231, which it isn't, but didn't discover till i got back home. Its a bit farther north at the top end of the Nissan Plant at the former Sunderland Airfield, scene many years ago of my one and only parachute jump.
So not an original of mine, but this is one that got away today

Regards Neil

I believe the reason that Vulcan is propped up on pallets is because so much snow built up on the wings that it actually overbalanced and tipped backwards - the pallets were there so they could perform a 'controlled descent' of it at a suitable time !

Yes I like the shape of those, but how about a pair of nice greens (2 of your 5 a day perhaps!)addo wrote:Silver Porsche 356A

I hadn't realised until Neil posted those pictures, how much the front "boot" centre trim is like the Robri ornaments originally sold for the D series Citroëns.

Parked outside the shop when I arrived. Looked absolutely immaculate. The nose of my megane just visible.

I managed to get the task disc windscreen and top of the dash from my picasso in the attempted one-handed beetle photo! This was my first 180 turn of the day as we motored past a garage on the A68 at Rochester on our day out. No-one about so out came the cameradaviemck2006 wrote: Parked outside the shop when I arrived. Looked absolutely immaculate. The nose of my megane just visible.
