They also made a shooting brake.

Looks like back in 2009 it found a parking space in London (well it looks pretty London-ey to me can't confirm!)

In my younger days when bikes, well everything didn't seem to travel as fast as it does these days I sold my old Honda 500XL and bought a rather bad condition Honda VF400F, V4 16 Valve.
Much Better Condition than mine
Much Better Condition than mine
Super machine not the most explosive but loads of grunt for a 400, and would do a ton 2 up no problem. but looked a bit sad with all it's colour faded so I went on a spending spree, bought a full fairing kit for it and found in the small adds a company selling Micron Power rear tubes that were in the testing stage, so at half the price and lots of feed back promises on they went , question was WHAT COLOUR, Black ew no, Red white wheels Mmmm but VFR**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] colours.

In the shed the panels went and out they came in......

Rode it for a good few years like this until we got fed up with it and the tank kept sprouting leaks due to the wally that has it before me stored it with half a tank of fuel in it of 2 years.

SO we repainted it, off into the shed it went again and re-emerged in true Welsh Colours complete with red leather seat, couple of stickers on it, but the fairing, tank and rear wing were done with a spray gun and masking tape and the aid of a sharp craft knife plus tons pf patience.. The image came off a T shirt we spotted in Llandudno

It was also ridden down to the midlands forget were now, to a company a very small one making chrome 4 into 1 Predator exhausts on a small industrial estate so we had one made for it cheap as they kept the blue prints, again rode for a good few years before we lost the love, and not a single Welshman liked it, in the end a lad from Birmingham bought it.

It was real fun at the time.

Thank you, but every single Welshman that came to buy it (sold in the days when an image cost a lot of money in local rags, it went on auto trader but that was it) the 1st 4 viewings they all said wanted one of these but not looking like that, they wanted either a white or a red one, even worse one wanted a red one for Wales but not one on the colours of the Welsh flag, patriotic....not!
Englishman from Birmingham bought it and loved it even more in the flesh. I have to say that surprised both myself and my wife we thought it would fly out, when it went to Betws Y Coed they would be around it like flies same at Matlock, it drew a car park crowd in the Birmingham motor cycle show as well.
I have to say they are not the best quality images as they are scanned 35mm film images, before I was dragged into the 20th century by the wife and a digital DSLR was purchased for me.

Commonplace, seems like any MGB, GT or Roadsters, in whatever condition will eventually find a restorer.

Old hat by the 1980's, but still take a nice pictures in the July 2024 Sun and shadows..

I saw a 1959 Bristol 406 on the M25 this afternoon. 622 NAU. Unusual indicator repeaters.

Nice spot James - same age as I am... Good year was that :D And just like those of us born in 1959, is a good looker too

Am I right in thinking Bristol had a bit of a legal tussle with Peugeot over the use of an 0 in the middle of the model number? Either Bristol or Peugeot had copyrighted it allegedly...

I have no idea about a 0 in the middle of a number. I do know that Chubby Broccoli (or his company) told PSA that the phrase "Double Oh Seven" was his copyright. This meant that, when Peugeot produced vehicles ending '007' it had to be pronounced (by PSA) as "Zero Zero Seven".
