I have just seen a DS coming straight at me on the same S bend that caused my recent wheel demolition on the Mazda. It was black and shiny but that is all I had time for!! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Saw new arrival in the village on someone's front drive, a Standard Pennant (I think) part restored looks like a project about to commence. Photo later if I can get round there with a camera before it goes into hiding.

Another couple of pics, the bottom one is not a Pennant but an Ensign but it does have the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation Birmingham Airport in the shot from 1959 ish.

The RAF used a lot of Standard Vanguards, the Ensign was derived from that, a later, cheaper version with a smaller engine.

Here's the Pennant. I also saw the twin of that Austin locally a couple of days ago Neil but no photo.

Being such a rare sight, the Mercedes got the nod as classic spot of the day, but one of these caught my attention on the road as it appeared in a stream of oncoming traffic. Its straight line profiles are standout and unique amongst usual the sea of anonymity and ugliness. Yes an attention grabber for me, maybe even getting on for a head-turner. :-D

A couple of parking spaces down from the Charging point at Melrose was something like this. Didn't warrant an NF shutter click, although I did like the colour of the interior. When the owner returned my lack of shutter clicking was confirmed as the right choice.

Without actually moving off and driving away he pressed the starter button, and totally unnecessarily gave the pollution pipes an unnecessary work out with an equally unnecessary revving and "blipping" of the gas pedal presumably for the purpose of informing the totally uninterested car park that his expensive toy made a noise.

I don't profess to know anything about Ferraris or whether the California T is available in the UK, but it was definitely the type of shape of that particular Ferrari. I think Ferrari have made sleeker models.

Plenty of info on this walk around....no stalks on the steering wheel for one....I can just imagine Mr unnecessary noisemaker boring the pants off everyone telling them that particular innovation comes from F1.
