A "new" 21 year old car, shouldn't be worth more than a new new car unless it has some special provenance. The Cooper badge might put price up a bit. Anything over £25,000 is too much, so I'll add a bit on for the phrasing of the question and guess at £30,000.

In order not to keep you in too much suspense here is the answer to my poser, which personally I find ludicrous. Were it an original Series A twin weber Cooper S I could accept it, but as a 1.3i falsely badged, IMO, Rover Mini "Cooper" I was astounded!!!:

The Morris 1000 vans used by the Post office were 'governed' , in between the carb and manifold there was a plate with just a small (3/8" I think) hole for the air intake.

The difference between the 6cwt and 8cwt was just an extra leaf in the rear springs and tyre size.

Quite right Gibbo, in the late 60's one of my jobs as a GPO apprentice was to go round the vans on Saturday morning and "check" the governor's were correctly in place!! Hmmmmm! Amazing how many tips I got from certain van drivers!! :-D

Came across the Cortina XLE BIG SIX, as part of my montage on How Many Miles in the Month thread. Bit of a South African model but at least one made it onto UK Plates.

Did you see the Freddie Mills story last night Neil? A nice Citroen with plenty of room to die in.

..and no doubt it will get it. Always very popular, and few if any still around now head for the crusher no matter what state they are in.

This MGC roadster is a case in point and featured recently on Bangers and Cash.

Seems like its been Moggy Week. Next to the Micra in the Esso Station today was a dark Blue Morris Traveller shiny hubcaps and paintwork and well looked after.

I'll dig out Micks link with the photos of examples and see of I can find the shade. I think it was a B-Reg.

No chance of a discrete photo.

Trafalgar Blue as it turns out.

Also saw that nightmare of Classic car spotting photography a Ford Anglia in oncoming traffic. No chance of a photo.

Saw a red three wheeler too the other day, whether it was a Morgan couldn't be sure. Took a mental note of the number but obviously transposed some critical bit by the time I got home, so no positive ID :-D

I saw a 105E Anglia at Lloyds Car Parts yesterday while getting some new bright and shiny plates for the Subaru. (Needed due to a mishap while parked at my friend's in Elstree. Front number plate jumped out in front of a passing wheelbarrow according to the 9 year old who was pushing the barrow :-D ) The anglia was an estate in the god awful beige and chrome trim!! :(

Those number plates are very capricious. You never know what they are going to get up to next, mischievous little devils.
I do hope that no nine year olds or wheelbarrows were injured during this event.

Indeed not thankyou Steve, merely a snapped off plate which apparently launched itself into the triangular tubular back leg of the barrow as it was pushed past the front of the car on its way to take some compost to the fairy garden!! I'm sure the carnations and tadgets will benefit hugely and it only cost me £24!! I didn't really mind because the rear plate was delaminating anyway and on the list for replacement so now I have two bright and shiny ones!! :-D
