Alderney? Can't image that's a good place for a Lambo. It would be barely out of first gear before it was at the other end of the island

Love the colour to bits 8-) Gorgeous!

I reckon the owner has a cunning plan. If he lines up in the right direction (with enough space to brake in time) and floors it, Newton's Third Law means that it is possible Alderney might fractionally move in the other direction. Over time he might get to sail Alderney to another location!

C.I. cars are all about prestige/conspicuous consumption & nothing to do with sense, that's why there were TWO Aston Martin main dealers on Jersey!

A spot here from a few days back now...

Must surely be one of the very last examples of this style being on a C-plate before the "Sierra style" facelifted cars came in must it not? Sierra had been out for a few years by that point, and for better or for worse, that Granada must have looked really quite dated on the forecourt next to one...

The Granny may have looked a bit dated in 1985 but arguably it's stood the test of time much better than the later models....

Van, sounds like the Channel Islands are dripping in money! Mind you, we have an Aston Martin dealer in my home town but there's a good historical reason for that ;)

Seeing as we are talking about Granada's wiki does have a nice image of a pre-facelift Mark II in Yellow

I think if we turned Zel's spot around so we could see the grill it would be body coloured as opposed to the earlier black. Then again the black grill does suits the yellow car.

Spotted a pair of Lotus Elans, one in a solid yellow colour (D-Reg 1966) and the other red white and a stripe. Much prefer the solid colours. The other one quite possibly would have been a Lotus Elan Sprint.

Lotus Elan associated with Emma Peel amongst others..

Coming back up the 303 this (sorry, last) evening saw a white E-tpe FHC going t'other way - that's the 2nd this (long) w/e! (1st one was a red 2+2 with sunroof: the perfect compromise some might say)

Whilst travelling around the Alsace region over the weekend I spotted a lovely condition German registered Renault 16TX, a gorgeous old Peugeot 403 estate, a Porsche 914 having a bit of fun in some twisty bits, and an unidentified car that looked like a smaller version of a BMW 2002 with a bonnet badge with the same colours as Porsche.... but obviously not a Porsche. There was also a Jagwarrrr XKsomethingorother suffering in the heat back at the Eurotunnel terminal.
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

Well maybe there's just is a little bit to work on there and I enjoy a bit of a delve, but would you be able to recognise it again from a few candidates which could fit the description?

Red/yellow/black would be your Porsche badge. My first thought was Abarth.

Unlikely, as I passed at speed :( It was the rough shape and size as a Porsche badge with similar colours, but that's all I can give you I'm afraid.
The Abarth badge would be a good candidate though :)

.....Probably not big enough and doesn't look much like a 2002, but its quite a pretty thing I think
