I think you are in the right ball park Mick, but there is a bit of additional info on the chap's youtube channel Tom Drives. I think the exact model is this

...and for the record here is a screenshot of Tom, in his Rover 827 Vitesse, with the aforementioned Feu Orange original. Yes he did say he paid £20 for it :-D

Not sure if the history of the Feu Orange has been recorded for posterity. Its an iconic bit of artwork and packaging which is probably remembered with rose-coloured nostalgia, but many also recall it as per Jim.

In Tom's video he mentioned that the Original was made by Polco. Some New Old Stock items on Amazon and e-bay give some details.

POLCO Products Limited Andover Hants SP10 3RU England On the front it is described as Britains No ! Car Air Freshener. The packaging is stamped © Polco Products 1999 Made in the E.E.C. On the front there is Paris France, maybe some BS reference to the "perfume" and maybe more attractive to the buyer than Andover England!

And I always thought they were 100% French... Made from time-expired fromage no less

Never again shall I ever look at Andover in the same light...

The Feu Orange Package opened up by Tom was produced not by POLCO but by Pennzoil-Quaker State in Barcelona.
For a very short lived time In 1998, Pennzoil's (USA oil company) motor oils, products and services divisions were spun off as an independent company, which then acquired rival Quaker State Oil Production Corporation, becoming "Pennzoil-Quaker State Company". Subsequently everything was taken over by Shell.

The history of Feu Orange goes well back before the 90's, most associate it with the 80's, I would say even the late 70's so maybe POLCO was the original producer. I would think New old stock will not have retained much fragrance in 2023 :-D

People still buy them as an accessory.

As Name the car with the Feu orange number 5 :?: I will give you a link to a post on Piston Heads rather than nick the pic.

Here it is Name the Car No 5:?:

The poster doe tag his profile with this quote
""If you wanna be someone buy a Ferrari, if you are someone you own a Lamborghini!" (Frank Sinatra).

I don't know much about the intimate features of the various model of Lamborghini, but you are most likely right Mick :-D

My memory, for what it is, says even earlier than that... I'm sure I saw it in the early 70s...
