I'm aware, being over 60, that Audi have been using the phrase as an advertising slogan for many years, but it's still a German phrase meaning advancement through technology . My comment was tongue in cheek, bearing in mind the recent VW/Audi groups recent "technology" didn't do much for their reputation and allow them to "Vorsprung" anywhere, hence the reference to a body part. Just pointing out that German technology is not the be all and end all of the automobile industry. :rofl2:

My remark regarding your comment was intended in a sense that Mercedes aren't making advances in their state-of-the-art suspension (prone to failures, like you've explained), since its not their slogan, but Audi's ... :D
