Shoot me, but I don't see that the two are very similar ... are you sure the 2nd will fully fit your car, or was it still something missing on it?

You've missed ... I was right that the other part was missing on the 2nd pic ... :D ... but the heat/melt part of the equation is bothersome to say the least ...

Just tryimg to find the best solution, was thinking of taking it to my local dealer and see what they say, but unsure because of the cost involved.

Also any ideas weather it would be a stock bit or not, ie kept incase they go wrong.

Test it how, i took it apart at my mums but because i couldnt change it i out it back together and drove it home, daft i know but had to travel 45min to get home by car.

Has anyone else suffered with this

Looks rather to me like the garage that last changed it broke the clip, so shoved a dob of glue on it to hold it in. It's pretty awkward to get out - you need one hand to hold the filter, one to lift the clip, and one to push the heater out :-D I use the vice as the third hand

New heater is £52 - I'd be inclined to go looking for one at the local scrappers...!

Went citroen today costing £53.99 including vat.

Was trawling the net all last night and couldn't find a single one so had no choice.

Since I had it off and back on starting trouble free, so should be sorted I hope next week once the part comes.
