can you post a picy of the instrument panel, as the glips i got of it in one of the picys it is different to a UK G dash

I'd love to Malcolm, but it seems neither Firefox or Chrome will play ball with my Photobucket. Just doesn't find the images - tells me they've been moved (which they haven't), or simply flags up error.

The dash is different from the UK version and very French! I'll take some more images tomorrow. Maybe start an account with Flikr too, or send them to Steve.

More than welcome Derek.

There are other image hosts - you have a free one with your Google account.
I have one but it doesn't really like Linux.
I can't recommend Flickr! I have two Yahoo accounts - one came with my ISP - BT - account but then Yahoo! are divorcing BT and I had to shift the account to my other Yahoo address and lost the "Pro" status.
They have messed it about a lot over the past couple of years until it is barely recognisable and not easy to use.

Imgur is easy to set up and use but free accounts lose access to images when they exceed 500 - they are still there and served up but you can't see them on your home page.

You might try another browser, see if that will help. Opera is quite popular but I don't seem to get along with it anymore.

I do think there is something squiffy with your Photobucket account though, as neither of us could make any sense of it.

Note that your images are hosed by Photobucket - a dedicated account I set up for forum use only, and my personal account is also working OK - just not with Firefox it seems. I think I know why now though.

Thanks for the tips. I have just tried to post one of the GS images onto another forum - Canal World Discussion Forum (in preview only) and taking the IMG link from Photobucket it worked exactly as it always has done, the image appears in the post. So there seems to be a glitch in the link between pb and FCF. I'm not computer savvy enough to suggest what is going wrong, but it seems Malcolm has similar issues.

i'll take a shot of that GS dash later this-morning and email it to you.

In the dash images you will notice the heater control knobs are different to those just about visible in the images Steve put up for me. Keith Would was able to supply me with the correct French knobs which are different to the UK ones (well they would be wouldn't they!), their shape complements the line of the dash better. Measurements in Kilometers naturally.

Thanks Kev, but the paint job is pants. I wish it looked as good in real life as it does in the photos! Someone in the past had rubbed the right hand side against a gate post (I guess) and put some grooves in the doors, and more recently I had someone in a car park cave the drivers door in when reversing out of the adjacent space (No cctv and no witnesses), so despite the scruffy paintwork, I'm inclined to leave as is. I pushed the door damage out and straightened the trim adequately. There are several minor dents in the bumpers, and if I got all the work done I think I'd be frightened of parking it anywhere - along with the majority of comments that it looks better in its original state - it's getting no expensive makeover!
