...and for a name-noticer like me...the name...absolute classic! :-D

First thing I noticed. Fits in with the American compulsion to attach deplorable names to things. Preferably with a Zee in there somewhere.

Not only American... Some of Wallace and Gromit's inventions had similarly crafted names, albeit a bit more subtle...

You need to start with A Grand Day Out and then The Wrong Trousers to let yourself into the characters! :-D

Further to my "it's slightly scary what's on the road in areas with no MOT requirement" post from last week, this bounced and flexed its way into this parking spot as we drove past yesterday.

Yes, the bodywork does appear to be more structural now than the chassis.

The long trek home has now begun. Have already been admonished by airport security for my choice of legwear. Apparently large pockets are a terrible choice these days as they register as a threat on the new full body X-ray scanners. Lovely.

Anyhow, have made it to Detroit. The terminal is a very long building.

Helpfully our onward flight is now showing as "Delayed" and no further estimates have been provided. That's never a good sign.
Current fleet:
07 Volvo V70 SE D5, 88 Renault 25 Monaco, 85 Sinclair C5, 84 Trabant 601S, 75 Rover 3500, 73 AC Model 70.

I was in Baltimore just after 9/11 I got searched and my baggage searched three times before allowed into the departure area, there was a huge tray of stuff confiscated everything from nail clippers to pen knives.
On the plane sitting next to me was an American lady, she was doing a bit of sewing, needlepoint, she took out a huge pair of scissors to cut her cotton.

I was in Dublin, we weren't allowed to fly for 24 hours after the event on the orders of Mr CEO of Johnson and Johnson. When we finally did, later on the 12th, we got an Aer Lingus flight to Heathrow. On it, amongst others were an Irish Amateur Rugby team (and the pop-star Jamelia!). Another passenger at the check-in said something along the lines of "what will we do if we get hijacked?". One of the larger Rugby gents overheard and said "I'd like to see them feckin' try love"..

I've never felt safer on an aeroplane!
