Jeans or jogging bottoms and tshirts for me most of the time too, a lot from sports direct too, or from Asda or tesco sale rails. I do possess a suit, usually worn at funerals only and a kilt outfit for weddings. Suit and kilt outfit both worn a handful of times over about 10 years

I don't possess a suit... Unless you count a karate gi as a suit
I do have smart clothes for when I need them.
It's rare I need smart clothes but will on Tuesday for Robyn's Graduation ceremony

I'd never bought clothes from a SportDirect before. It was usually Matalan or M&S. I was looking on their website the other day for some trainers and learnt they sold normal clothes other than just the usual Lonsdale branded chav-type clothes, so I bought everything there

My shoes are very nice and shiny Clarks that cost as much as all my shopping yesterday! My cowboy/roper boots were even more. One only gets one set of feet, we must look after them..

I find their Lonsdale underwear very good and I'm definitely not a Chav

I would use the underwear as it's very good and I don't go around displaying my keks to all and sundry. I'm not a labels person at all!

Well the missfire at speed is still there with the Lada. Hmm...
One thought that does spring to mind is that the crusty old fuel filter is still present... that's a ten second job to swap now the replacement is in stock...

Sorry to hear that Zel
Hope the fuel filter fixes it - at least it's an easy job to swap it...

Just a bit of a head scratcher as to what's going on. Awkward in that it only happens at speed...
If the fuel filter doesn't resolve it I think it will be time to get the ALDL interface built so I can see what's going on in real time and hope there's one parameter that's obviously going wacky.

Thanks to the guys over at Formula 1, the correct Lambda sensor is now fitted. So that's one more bit of wiring hackery that has been dispensed with. As I suspected the old one was very well caked in soot from when the car was running poorly with the bodged emission control system causing it to run massively rich when I bought it.
The miss turned up again today both to and from the garage though, accompanied by a massive amount of erratic clicking from the relays again.
Think there's an obvious test I've missed here - and that's to bridge out the offending relays and see if the problem mysteriously goes away. Also means I can confirm for definite which one it is that's clicking. My money's on the fuel pump one as if you kill power to the other one for even a moment the effect is far more instantly felt as it kills the ignition system.
Was going to look into it further this afternoon, but have instead wound up hiding inside in front of an air conditioner (which has been just about managing to keep the room below 25C) as the brief foray into the outside world today just resulted in me rapidly feeling physically ill. Forecast says tomorrow's going to be warmer as well by the looks of it...oh won't that be fun.

I'm finding it quite difficult too Zel.
I have to stay outside though, it goes over 30 indoors.
Got a nice pink suntan today as I forgot the cream, I look like a human raspberry.
Probably the only time I enjoy a trip to the supermarket as the chillers feel so nice.

Sadly it's been over 30C outside in the shade here too! I'd be stuffed without the AC.
Really looking forward to a couple of year's time when we can get a proper fixed system installed in the house.
I keep keeping my eyes open for bits of split systems going spare as I've no fear of putting the whole lot together myself if need be (though obviously I'd need to get someone in to gas it up) as I've done plenty of work on HVAC kit in the past and it's all just wiring and plumbing really. Obviously plus some maths beforehand to make sure everything's matched up - the only bit where some witchcraft is involved really is in finding the most efficient location for the indoor units to be placed. Downstairs here is going to be a pain in that regards as it's a really unhelpful shape - will have to be a wall mounted unit as well I think (probably two actually) as there's nowhere useful for a freestanding one to live, and the ceiling void isn't deep enough to fit one in - which is annoying as that would give the best coverage for the lounge. The one idea I haven't fully investigated there is knocking out the void where the fireplace used to be and tucking something away in there.
Another one of those expensive jobs though, even just the kit is probably going to be the best part of ten grand once we've got it all in (though admittedly, we're probably going to do it in three or four stages).

Funny you should say that, the page is bookmarked on my phone under the general heading of "admin/housekeeping/etc stuff I need to do this evening."
Was going to happen anyway, I'd just expected it to be more of a niche luxury item that I'd need a handful of times a year rather than something that would see daily use...On the plus side, I guess that makes it a lot more justifiable in cost terms.

Exactly, plus it's more of an investment than a cost. Think of all the things you've not done while you've been cuddling the air con. I think you'll soon be repaid in work done.

I enjoyed a reasonably quick 22 mile bike ride today in the heat, then sat outside in the sun with a coffee!
I love the heat. The closer to 36.5c the ambient is, the better I feel. My broken thyroid finds it hard to regulate my body temp and it seems that if the ambient is similar, then I feel fine as my body doesn't get stressed trying to heat me up or cool me down!
