Those 16" exclusive are much nicer than the 15" ones. My 2.2 had the 15" ones the same as the estate. I didn't like them but got a change when I bought a complete c5 with 4 brand new tyres just for the price of the tyres. I got new discs and pads off the other one too, before selling it for more than I paid for it. It just went to the auction, as well as bald tyres and not much brakes it had a k ackered steering rack leaking out all the fluid, and was filled with Scot rails finest hydraulic oil acquired by my son in law. The steering and suspension worked on it,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Coming up on 193k now, just had an oil/filters change. If and when it ticks over 200k I will give it a good service as a treatCitroenmad wrote:How many miles is it on now, it must be heading towards 200K?
Very pleased to hear that its still on the road and giving good service, its still one of my better buys

Re: Further adventures of the Citroenmad/NorthernMike C5
Just gone over 195k, doing even better mpg now that I've done the filters! Probably averaging 46mpg now (that's mostly doing 80 on motorways).
Definitely going to put those 16" alloys on it. Got tyres on two, just need the other two...
Still haven't got the seat heaters working, but I am loving the leather. There's no going back now...

That is a nice 0,6l pr 10 km if you are talking British gallons ( as a metric person all the gallon and mile talk make my head hurt )

I'm not sure I've seen better than 50mpg, but it's never lower than 45.
I've found some rear leather seats for it on ebay which I'm hoping will fit. If so I will try and give it a clean and post some pictures!
Nearly 198k now

I found that if I checked the mpg on that car the old fashioned way, the computer is pessimistic to the tune of about 4mpg. I think Chris found the same.

I once got a properly calculated 67mpg out of it over 230 miles!djoptix wrote:^ yes - it's never anywhere near right. These figures are all calculated the proper way
Hartshead Moor services home to Reading, on £20 of diesel in August 2014 when I picked it up from Chris.
I'd only put £20 in as it was services price and I was planning on stopping in Bury anyway. As it was, I didn't. I wasn't in the mood to go fast so set cruise to truck speed and just pottered down the inside lane. It just carried on and on and on..
