The big plug is down behind/below the back of the engine/below Air-Filter box (remove) and is a bit of a pig to get at from above, but given 3 fingers and a 6 foot arm you should be fine. I just sprayed it good with contact cleaner and reconnected.
The seat wires that were chaffed were inside the plastic protector itself that is attached to the underside of the seats, the insides of the plastic were razor sharp on mine !....I still wonder how this could effect the cutting out....

It does not suprise me at all, when playing suspension games I had a different suspension computer plugged in and it registered a brake airbag and seatbelt fault. And would not let me start the car ! Plugged the old one back in and all was fine.
