NewcastleFalcon wrote: 16 Nov 2019, 23:01 There's me saying earlier on tonight on another thread that I couldn't recall any Xantia's coming up for sale at the classic auctions and lo and behold this one is up for sale at Mathewsons North Yorkshire on 14th December 2019
Well against my own expectations someone has bought this when is came up for sale for a second time at Saturdays Auction. No indication of the hammer price, just that it was sold. A new member for the forum perhaps :-D

While this classic IS under £10,000 the maintenance is probably a bit more than that! Still, if you could afford the maintenance why not take a look?

Well, as it was retired in 1976 at least it would be exempt from road fund tax. Add a self-certified MOT and you're away!

Full results from Matthewsons at Glenmarch.com

Here's the French Contingent from Matthewson's February Sale and what sale price they achieved,

...and out of pure topsy turvey oddness the much maligned in its day and afterwards Morris Marina turns out to be a more desirable/valuable car than this particular example from Bayerische Motoren Werke AG :-D

This is still sitting there, for £310, and 3 days to go...

This has to be worth rescuing - looks so sound, apart from the engine, and plenty of those (and better) around.

More everyday, this will go under £10,000 unless bidding goes wild, but effectively it is a brand new Peugeot 306 Cabriolet. A 1995 car, kept unregistered as part of a private collection and showing an astonishing 70 miles on the odometer.

Would that bench seat be from a MK2 Zephyr or Zodiac Neil? :|

Zephyr Mark II 1962 according to the listing, I wouldn't say no. Always a joy to see a bench seat, that one looks like its got the sophistication of a fold down arm rest for the driver. Cant imagine many Zephyr drivers kept their hands at 10 to 2 or quarter to 3.
