No reserve, far too much work for a casual purchaser, and probably far too much work for a trader to buy, improve, and sell on at a profit. No this will fall into the small category of enthusiastic amateur who likes quirky vehicles and gets pleasure out of restoring things as a hobby, and accepts the money-pit nature of such restorations and isn't bothered about making money or indeed flushing quite a lot of it down the pan.

The state it's in less than £1,000 would be expensive (the exterior looks OK interior not so good), but at one time wrecks of any description of the HY would be £5-£10K to the quirky food trailer market. It's still got French plates on it and at least you haven't had to trailer it from France. Always an interesting item...what will the market price be :?:

A possible post on a number of threads including Favourite Colours, Open Air Motoring etc but this is a chance for the pretenders to become true petrol heads. They say you can't call yourself a petrol head if you've never owned an Alfa so here's your chance !! :-D

Did you notice a lot of the service paperwork under the listing refers to a Porsche not the Alfa?

Whats this then has a bit of a dalliance into an unusual Volvo...front wheel drive, pop-up headlights sporty, turbo, renault engine, lotus derived suspension. In the spoiler not the point of the post.

If you want to find out more about it...sale item at Wb and sons, and 20 minute vid on it. In this spoiler again not the point of the post.
Spoiler: show
Dec 2nd 2023 Volvo 480 no reserve WB and Sons sale listing https://auctions.wbandsons.com/auction/ ... 6&pn=2&g=1
You tube vid "idriveaclassic" Volvo 480 https://youtu.be/wyrTxXWq5lU?t=435
An interesting point did come out of the 20 minute Vid from the owner of the Volvo 480.
Preservation via the 480 Club Europe
At the moment we have a rescue program where we are pooling money and we are purchasing not ridiculously expensive cars, but cars that need saving and then Jeff on the forum does the mechanical work to get them up to an MOT-able standard. They go through an MOT and then they're then sold on to a new owner via the forum.
Not sure if their laudable idea is still working, the vid is a couple of years old. As of February 2023 still some activity

That's a good thing to do and nicely preserves them. Better than seeing them go for scrap or sit rotting on a driveway...

If you want a bit of a bit of information on a particular classic car that appeals, the youtube channel "idriveaclassic" hosted by Steph is excellent. Yes a bit of "too long didn't look" timing on the videos usually about 20 minutes, but if you have an interest in a particular classic, plenty of information and a decent drive.

This is the latest video (posted 2 hours ago!), a quirky interesting-looking offering from Citroen of which I knew nothing, and yes worth a watch. My first thoughts with my trivia head on...I wonder where that church is :?: :-D
