When I looked at this Vauxhall this morning, I think young Mathewson chose the right word...wow!

I see its estimated at £10K to £12K, but like I mentioned for me anyway its pretty arbitrary and really the thread is about classic cars for sale, with the focus of my own interest in the affordable and marginally out of reach, but not so much on sales of way out of reach exotica. :-D

Well done Peter, the addons like a link to the listing just need the web address for the page pasted into a post.
like this
https://www.mathewsons.co.uk/auction/lo ... 8&pn=1&g=1

as do videos from you tube click on the video to get the url and copy and paste it into a post.

The posting page is clever enough to just accept the web address without any additional characters, and will embed the youtube vid directly unless it is restricted to viewing only on youtube.

Followers of the first few series of Bangers and Cash will be familiar with Sarah Crabtree.

Now part of this outfit Evoke Classics, and driving round in a brown Morris Ital...so uncool its cool.
One of the cars they have currently up for auction (all their auctions are timed/online) is this one. I always like a Rover P6, but was quite chuffed to identify the location of the filming, some way North of Evoke Classic's HQ in London.

This one's £7.5k

I find myself looking at these on eBay every now and again, but I think it's one of those cars I'd be bored of driving after 6 months
It's a funny thing a Calibra. I like them, on the basis of being basically a sexier looking Cavalier (much like my owner sexier looking 406) but the lights always looked wrong to me - at the front they are "too sleek" and managed to make the rest of the front look lumpen. At the back they flicked to opposite end of the scale and are huge!

I remember a contemporary review said something like
"There's the 4x4, which has plenty of grip. And there's the turbo, which needs all the grip it can get" :)

Good to see one of my 406 Coupe's contemporaries also came with by modern standards ridiculously small wheels and big sidewall tyres: 205/55R15 for the Calibra, my Coupe on 205/60R15. Colour is lovely.

Yep the common Calibra is the 2.0 150bhp, which is more show than go.

The 4x4 turbo would be the one to have but the only ones I see are in Germany and France, and prices are north of 20 grand.

That rear end is something alright 8-) (Is there anything more 90's than those number plate surrounds? Heckblende I think the Germans called them)

(keeping quiet about my 406 Coupe's even lower 137bhp output. sheep in wolf's clothing!)

Were there "trailblazers" or maybe "tailblazers"? Remember they were an option/accessory for lots of things, Mk2 Golf, Citroen BX, am sure others too.

But, yes - very of it's time!

That's a big load of soil perched on the roof there!

:rofl2:

Now why would you go to the effort of cleaning a car and going somewhere photogenic to take a dozen photos of the inside and outside...when you could just take a couple of photos from random angles in the middle of a building site?

2 hours left and it's at €2,600 - that'll be a steal if it goes for anything close to that price.

You're talking about at least €4-5,000 + shipping to buy one from Japan these days.

I wonder how much a road trip from Malta would cost?

Must be a very short list of cars where the headlamp/indicator unit meets the wheel arch.

Are these to Kei Car regulations - so screaming 660cc turbo?

Edit: D'oh! Read the advert now, yes it is Kei car and rev counter has redline at 8500!

I love that to bits 8-) :-D Especially in yellow! You know well my preference for small cars Mick and I must say that would suit me perfectly :-D

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Honda N600 and N800, especially the convertible version of the latter...
