This auction has a fair selection of auto parts and some electro bits too. I enjoyed my browse although nothing is for me apart from one car which I can't afford!! :-D

That first one looks very odd with little wheels and relatively low profile tyres.

Also chassis is, quote "only light surface corrosion begining to show"

ONLY!? it's was built in 2021! I'd have thought I could fasten a bit of bare mild steel under a nice big sheltered H Van shaped object and it manage similar condition! :rofl2:

An opportunity to aquire a pretty rare French car for sensible money. This one is identical to the one I owned and I enjoyed it immensely: :-D

I sold one of those to an old friend, a lady in her mid fi9fties, she drove it like a boy racer for about six years did little or no maintenance then one morning rang me and said it had broken down and was at the side of the road, if I'd like to collect it it was mine, she had bought a Ford Ka.
I collected it, one of the drive shafts was ripped to shreds and the rest of the car wasn't much better so it went to the scrap yard for £100. :(

She made a good choice with the original Ka... Huge fun to drive... Shame they rusted like a 60s Vauxhall...

We had one as a hire car for an alpine holiday tour to welcome in the new Century. It was brilliant, sailing up the passes watching Beamer drivers, with their rear window mounted skis, sliding about all over the place and frequently not making it!! We did wave as we cruised by

The time ticks round again for the WB&Sons auction at Killingworth this Saturday December 10th. You may have seen the rather nice Vanden Plas Princess 1300 in the pages of the FCF.

here viewtopic.php?p=738157#p738157 here viewtopic.php?p=738161#p738161 and also here viewtopic.php?p=738158#p738158

Up at the auction for a similar estimate we have a trio of Jaguar's (XK8) unloved it would seem. I definitely like the look of them, but like the XJS before them they appear to have fallen into the very few people want them category and hence what I would regard for such a motor car, low prices at auction.

As observed earlier in the thread, its a buyers market for classic cars now, with many failing to meet reserves and many unsolds. A 4 litre Jaguar, sitting doing nothing most of the year, no doubt heavy on insurance and tax, and when you do take it out for a run guzzling expensive gas with the prospect of bits to maintain and fix being both hard to find and expensive too, and added to all that, probably little chance of a return on investment when reselling either short term or by keeping it longer term.

All in all the prices achieved are maybe not that surprising.
WB auction catalogue here (A-Z order)https://wbandsons.com/catalogue-10th-december/?sort=a-z Three of them in the sale. :-D WB&Sons do excellent and thorough videos of the lots, 10 minutes of very detailed walkround. so as not to bog down the post. Baron's had a sale in Southampton yesterday, and I noticed this lot.

Don't know how long the video will stay up, but if its a while since you had a look around an Austin 3-litre here's your chance. Could have done with a little less breathing from the videographer, and in general when you compare it to the creme de la creme of videos for buyers which in my opinion is from WB and Sons on my very doorstep with ten minute painstaking pointing out of of features and honest assessment of blemishes, this video is really not very good! :-D

Probably the only Vauxhall/Opel product I've ever enjoyed looking at.

This one's £7.5k

I find myself looking at these on eBay every now and again, but I think it's one of those cars I'd be bored of driving after 6 months
