Here is the link to the C5 Exclusive that came on the market 1 week too late for me, since it has only done 61000 miles and is the 2.0 NON HPi petrol I thought someone else may be interested as I've convinced myself that I must not increase my fleet at this point!! :-D

Shame the Escort had the horrible rectangular headlights. I remember when the 1300GT came out that it also had rectangular headlights as they were supposed to indicate "premium" qualities. It took the introduction of the 1300 Sport to remedy this. The Sport also had 13" wheels instead of 12" and the "lipped" front wings of the Mexico to accommodate these wheels.

This is all from memory so I hope it hasn't let me down!

Watching the F1 practice but plugged in one ear to the sale, I do like their split screen with the full spec and the live car but the auctioneer is a trifle OTT for an online auction don't you think? bring back Derek!! :-D

Yes I'd like to but as I'm watching the F1 at the same time I rely on the voice to tell me what's going through!!

Decided, as there is so much new F1 stuff to learn, I'm going to concentrate on the F1 and rely on the FCF correspondent and Glenmarch to catch up later! :-D

I think I'll revert to Glenmarch or the auction sites when the results are posted too...just sticking with it until I've finished my cup of Tea.

The CCA auction doesn't appear to have a method of tracking what has gone through and what they sold for. (www.the-saleroom.com does.... https://gaplive-eu.globalauctionplatfor ... lang=en-gb )

Took a bit ofinterest in the Bentley which went through as I know a chap who bought one for around £8500 ish and is now looking to sell....not getting the use out of it he wanted so it spends much of its time doing nothing. This similar one, didn't even meet its estimate and was unsold. Think it struggled to £7,000 from the bidders at the CCA auction.

Its a bit of an oddity, and never a great success in its day, the "land Lobster". I always thought they were FWD just like the land crab, until this morning. Never a Rover/Triumph/Jaguar no Wolseley or Vanden Plas version either, but an everyday Austin stretched a little and a bigger engine bunged in, so maybe never had the perceived luxury factor.

Sold for £6,400 hammer price.

Brightwells is opening up its catalogue for bids Saturday 27th March 10.00am and closes on 1st April in a timed auction, no auctioneer on the rostrum.

One of the items of interest, or at least curiosity is this. Based on a Nissan Micra K11.
