Re: Classic for under £10K
I am interested in the lot before the bike, the Alfa 166, I have nearly bought one of those on a few occasions in the past but the miles are a bit too high for my liking unless it is very cheap and I doubt it will be!

Re: Classic for under £10K
The cyclemaster looked in absolutely pristine condition, hammer down at £500. Compare that to the rather rough chopper earlier on, and its outstanding value.

Re: Classic for under £10K
Very true, but I do think the choppers command silly money considering they started life as a "toy" bike!! No go on the GTi and the Lotus Cortina is going to be well out of my range!!

Re: Classic for under £10K
Sadly the last of the GTi's has gone and I still have my money in the bank. So not much more interest in the sale except possibly the Princess at the end but I have to go and get some fresh air so may miss it!! Heyho, enjoyed the sale generally so roll on the next one!!

Re: Classic for under £10K
I saw the episode where the Raleigh Choppers were auctioned and was astounded at what they fetched
The best bit was Dave's son doing his Chopper road test... He was far from impressed
When I was a kid the Chopper really was THE bike despite the pain the gear lever could inflict
Back then, the coolest of the cool was to have a Chopper and then at 16 progress to a Yamaha FS1E...
The FS1E commands quite a price these days too...

That is magic!
Not a bad price either... Make me wonder how much the one I have sitting on my drive is worth?
