My bad Mike, the old memory failed... It was a 2 litre 138 HDi 407SW that had the 4HP20. I rebuilt it when it failed at 204000 miles. The 407 in question was an ex-taxi!

My memory tricked me into thinking that particular vehicle was a C5...

Although, having said that, a C5 owner I'm currently visiting tells me me some early C5s did have an HP20.

Here's an opportunity for a real Peugeot enthusiast:

Is that the convertible version of the one Columbo had?

IMCDB certainly thinks it was a Peugeot 403 Cabriolet, quite a battered one at that!

You would be hard pushed to find one of these under £10K now, the Peugeot 504, and a car which for me looks better as a coupe rather than a cabriolet. From my archives...

This falls into the "other French Stuff" category sub-category gorgeous 1970's Coupes

While browsing the ACA list I have come across two possibles which I just might have a bid on, even though I'm pretty sure they will both be unloved on here but it is time to swap out the MX3 so:

https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic ... urbo-auto/

https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic ... a-30-auto/

Both have acceptable mileages and auto boxes so we'll see!! :-D

Go for whatever takes you fancy Mick, red would appear to be your colour of choice. Just had a flick through the catalogue myself and I wonder what sort of market this Dolomite Sprint will generate. Its an Auto, probably a negative point for people wanting a sprint, but a plus point for yourself. In the main catalogue listing photo it appears red, but in the video is decidedly orange!

:rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:
I've been sussed!!!
I have that one on my "don't draw attention to it list" and you are dead right, it has considerable appeal but even I have trouble convincing myself that a Dolomite Sprint can be an auto. It's in the diesel mini cooper or even mini cooper countryman class for me, just doesn't sound right!! :-D

Shown on "Bangers and Cash" yesterday (new series) was a Wood & Pickett Triumph Dolomite Sprint (the only one they ever did). It would not have featured here, as it went for £12,300;

The first episode will be repeated tonight on "Yesterday" at 21:00. There was also a cream Triumph Dolomite (still with the 'new car' smell and the polythene on the door cards) with 2,323 miles on the clock.

I've just watched that James and personally I thought the Wood and Pickett colour scheme was awful!! However the interior looked nice and the Toledo was bought by the guy who was outbid on the Sprint!! Amusing episode though with the road roller as well!! :)
