Well for the "L" selection, I'll put up Leon Russell. Thought about Delta Lady either his own rendition, or the iconic one from Joe Cocker, or maybe even Bobbi Gentri for a change. Then I had a look at his own version of "A song for you" covered by many other artists. Then I clicked on the Carpenter's version, and I'm afraid good as Leon was, Karen Carpenter's voice and interpretation are just sublime...So the car related selection for "L" (...the car being the SEAT Leon (apologies to Seat Leon owners but...yawn yawn!))..heres Karen and Richard and the band...

Well I reckon because some of the Pickled Egg Punters could croon along to it, and poor old Bobby Bloom was a bit of a one-hit wonder, and his video is terrible, and the lyrics start off with...

Vernon'll meet me when the boat lands
Keys to th M. G. will be in his hands
Adjust to the driving 'n' I'm on my way
It's all on the right side in Montego Bay.

Which has a reference to an MG...I think it gets in to the PE Hall of fame (Car Related Juke Box Entry Section).
