I wasn't really expecting any to be included Neil - I just chuck this stuff out willy-nilly :(

On the other hand, this may appeal:

And for a really quiet one:

Could well be - I did read a while back that John Cale was sued for his effort, someone claiming that he had stolen copyrighted material
There was no mention that Philip Glass had done exactly the same thing though. I'm sure it is on the Philip Glass album I have that hasn't seen daylight for ten or more years.

Fabulous album and this isn't even the best of it.

Can't get away with Cale or Eno on their own but together (despite their conflicts) they do a great job.

Went to a Cale concert with the wife - she liked him - it was dire :(

Pickled Egg Jukebox-World's best?!

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

I think you could literally visit every single bar or pub in the World, and you would not find a jukebox to compare with our own Pickled Egg :!: :-D .

Where else could you have heard in the last half dozen selections

The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band
Lady June's Linguistic Leprosy
The Incredible String Band
Cole Porter
Terri Callier and
Robin Trower

:-D :-D

Thanks to the regulars, and a warm welcome as always for newbies, and visitors!

Pickled Egg Jukebox-Car night-Anything Goes!

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Time for a bit more music?

Any genre or no genre, any theme, no theme.

I'll see if I can drag up a starter for 10

Here it is.....in celebration of my spotting of 5 DRK 3-Wheelers on tour today

Number 1 in the best in a theme of "Car Name" tracks this is DRK by Hunter and the Bear

Its got a bit of energy about it...

Regards Neil

Not a bad theme I think....without really thinking here's Hot Chocolate!

The Chariot - reference to her mother's Cadillac.
A very sad story, explained after the song.
