IMO this is the best thing that Carlos Santana wrote*, not necessarily this particular version but still.
It is the nostalgia of course, seventy two hour shifts, working in the basement to get work done to meet deadlines, this playing a lot of the time, cooking chickens on the studio lights.

* and also being largely responsible for Orianthi.

Not quite as old but my youngest grandson (18) has become very appreciative of Mike Oldfield and surprised some of his older customers.
I approve!

Mick Oldfield as in Tubular Bells? If so, what a legend and great music

Yes, Tubular Bells is his current favourite. I thought I had DVDs of the live performances of TBII and TBIII but seemingly not. All on Youtube anyway.
Going to try and interest him in Songs Of Distant Earth.

This is one of my absolute favorites. The count down from 2' 52" culminating at 3' 24".

I have a Sonab record deck from 1971, had a forty quid second hand sixties Marantz receiver and a pair of Dynatron speakers, £4 from a flea market. Should have been crap but the much more sophisticated and expensive stuff I have now can't reproduce that section like the old stuff could. Thunderous and shook the floor.

And then Platinum!

Not unless it is vinegar. I'm sure they are capable of finding stuff like that themselves although none of them seem interested.

From Ryan's post in POTD where he shows an H Van with 'BRIM' written on the windscreen..

viewtopic.php?&t=53436&p=763938#p763938

Whenever I see that word it always brings to mind a funny little favourite song of mine... Brimful Of Asha by Cornershop..

I love what it considers everyone should have as a pillow ;)

Asha in Hindi means hope...
