Here's a tricky one which song features these "lyrics" as a chorus...

"Ba - da - pa do da da - ba - pa do da da"

This, nicely nostalgic in black and white
Spoiler: show

I now have an earworm of a similar one that I can't put a name to :(
Have the Pentangle LP here somewhere. Bought it for that track as used in "Take Three Girls" with John le Carré's sister in it.

Enjoyed that Steve, and had to look up the setting leading to this which I hadn't heard for ages

FOCUS were not all Hocus Pocus they very much had their softer moments if you know their stuff. This is from the album Hamburger Concerto well played by yours truly in the 70's.

That is a song from the Swedish/Danish series "Bron" (The Bridge) from a few years ago.

During the rain delays at Headingley today I had the chance to watch Elton John's set at Glastonbury this year and it brought back a special memory for me. Between my divorce and meeting SWMBO I had 10 years on my own and a number of girlfriends which didn't develop into anything serious but the closest I came was with a lovely girl who I went out with for a couple of years. That came about because the second time I went to see her she played this track to me saying it explained how she felt! The one that didn't make it to Glastonbury: :-D

Just as good with the sound off if you don't like the singing or the song.

Unusually for me and female artists, I really enjoyed that Steve! So much so that I had a look through her other stuff and have just been blown away by the vocal range she demonstrates in this track, not to mention the piano skills!! :-D

I've been buggering about with a neighbour's laptop* as he couldn't get it to do anything at all. That came up on a playlist while I was messing about and I thought that she was pretty good too.

* bloody Windows. Hate it.
