Harry's Farm is a good watch as reported on Energy Matters global and domestic. Debbie Harry is a fine popular music artist, and Harry Worth still remains memorable for his shop window "splits".

and from what I regard as Joni Mitchell at the height of her powers with her albums "The Hissing of Summer Lawns" and Hejira to follow.

Harry's House came to mind and got a welcome replay at Chez Falcon

Got played this pleasant little ditty by a friend of mine today. Unlike me he does the old-fashioned thing of writing a letter to the artist and ordering one of his CD's and getting a personal reply enclosed in return. I do believe the very competent guitarist hails from Belgium and is on a mission to record his versions of Beatles classics So far he has done the albums "Let it Be" and "Abbey Road".

Phil Collins was featured on one of those "at the BBC" type things where they dig up the archives of appearances on Wogan, Saturday Swopshop, Top of the pops etc. He has a decent enough catalogue. Tiring of the show, I revisited what I would call my favourite Genesis track, from the album "Trick of the Tail" where Collins joined the band and replaced Peter Gabriel on vocals. Genesis were never one of my bands, but I do think this track is a tour de force.

Appropriate for today, its a Rutherford/Banks Composition and today October 2nd is Mike Rutherford's birthday.

Wiki tells us that it was "designed to sound like Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir"".

Elvis Presley knew how to get a Boomerang to come back. He always marked them thus;

It seemed that an electric dream was apt to our community, allow for the "tuning" at the start, it becomes quite enjoyable!! :-D

Keep the Pickled Egg Jukebox eclectic. :-D

Lets try the modern Gregorian Chant from the masters of contemporary chant...this lot from Germany

https://www.gregorian.de/

and the selected track, not for any great musical content, but referenced on the Pickled Egg Quiz this morning

Re: yesterdays Heardle quiz.
A cover by Kate Ryan of this, one of my favourite singers. Not my favourite song by a long shot, too 'dance' and I deplore dancing.
She sang a song for a writer that no-one else would sing and it made her famous, her first song.
He was a fellow student learning film techniques but also wrote music and they became business partners that revolutionised French pop, he did the filming and wrote the music, she wrote the lyrics, sang and acted.
A lot of the material is quite dark and often with a tragic finish but the videos are like small films.

The good folk of FCF land are invited to pick up this theme's ball and run with it. No curation of the theme from me.

Seeing as all the major newspapers carry a headline with Blackout in it today, let's try a theme with

Songs with the colour Black in the title.
There should be loads I reckon it would vie with Blue for the most often repeated colour in music song titles.

So what else from me but...Black Friday. Have a listen even if you are not a convert to the delights of Steely Dan and unlikely to become one after a quick couple of minutes!
