Coincidentally, that is also Jackie's new release.
You will probably heave a sigh of relief to learn that there is no YouTube video of it (yet).

Had there been I would have taken it into consideration Steve but I did feel an up tempo version was required, so it may or may not have got the nod. I'd agree that Jackie's vocals are almost certain to be an improvement on Judy's but the whole arrangement may not!! :-D

I am loath to admit it but I am not impressed. She has done far better previously.

I'm inclined to agree with you there Steve, and I wouldn't have picked it on tempo grounds. For the benefit of others you can judge for yourself here.

A song for this morning's fleeting visitor ( just the title!) to our Counties thread:

Whistling is something I can't abide.
Although tolerable in Brian Ferry's "Jealous Guy"

There was a kid whistling as I was shopping recently, a single, off-key note.
Abandoned the shop and went elsewhere.

I know what you mean there Steve, not my favourite either but that Roger Whittaker rendition of the Elizabethan Sernade was quite something. I was impressed with his tuning and his modulation, a good listen for me!! :-D

John Lennon on Jealous Guy is a good whistle,

As I was so critical of Shirley Bassey's rendition of this song on the County of the Day thread, I thought I'd post this version which is the one I grew up believing to be a personal message from the man himself: :-D
