'Flock' mentioned in the restobuild thread reminded me of:

Hear them years ago (early 70's) - a mate had an LP. Liked it.
Bought the CD a few years ago and wasn't so taken with it.

Many people think that composer Barry Gray used a Theremin for his compositions on the various Gerry Anderson Supermarionation productions. But it wasn't, it was another instrument called an Ondes Martenot. Here it is prominently used on the Captain Scarlet theme.

If you want to know a little more about what makes an Ondes Martenot - err - tick click on this. It's in French with subtitles but don't let that put you off.

Much consternation is being exhibited in our household today because I keep bursting into song with a track that seems to have got stuck on my brain. I cannot understand the problem because my singing is legendary!! So much so that I once filled the Royal Albert Hall simply by picking up a microphone and walking onto the stage!!
Spoiler: show
Admittedly it was the stage of the Royal Festival Hall!! :-D
However I think it only fair to share the track with the FCF faithful, it is not often heard but it has always been a sideline favourite of mine: :)

It struck me that we haven't had a theme day on the P.E. Jukebox for quite a while so now seems as good a day as any. I propose a theme of the "English Summer" as you see it and will get it going with my thoughts so far:

That was coincidental; I just remembered the song title. She is good looking though.

Not quite on theme, though related, but I thought there were some great photos in this production, especially the insects!!

When I remembered this track I couldn't remember many of the lyrics and so, as I listened I thought it wasn't really suited to the theme. Then I got to 1:45 and the picture changed my mind :-D
