I had a walk behind ex council lawnmower with a Tecumseh engine, bought it at a BCA car auction for thirty quid, worked fine apart from eating drive belts until I moved house four years later.

Tecumseh is of course a North American native tribal name.

Tecumseh
Tecumseh
Tecumseh was a Shawnee leader who became the primary leader of a large Native American confederacy in the early 19th century.
I looked it up when I first heard the TvZ song.

This lockdown keeping me out of the car and therefore not listening to the radio, has allowed a significant moment to pass me by under the radar. So my apologies to all those who have been aware but I was only just made aware, at the start of today's Liverpool v Man United game, that we lost Gerry Marsden a fortnight ago, so my message is clear and obvious:

Which brings me to another Charles Aznavour(ski) song.

More for the audience reaction than anything. They were all laughing and dancing a few minutes earlier.

Inauguration day over the pond so here's an optimistic or severely sarcastic song depending how you read it, from one of USA's finest Donald Fagen
Standing tough under stars and stripes
We can tell
This dream's in sight
You've got to admit it
At this point in time that it's clear
The future looks bright
On that train all graphite and glitter
Undersea by rail
Ninety minutes from New York to Paris
Well by seventy-six we'll be A. O. K

What a beautiful world this will be
What a glorious time to be free

I would put up : Don Henley - A Month Of Sundays, for the lines
"My grandson, he comes home from college
He says, "We get the government we deserve."

.......but there doesn't appear to be an available video for it :(
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

Things I learned today: The music video for Cliff Richard's Wired for Sound was recorded virtually on my doorstep.

No chance of a where's this then then.....Milton Keynes......you think they would have headed for California :-D
If you follow whatsthisthen? Jaguar/Landrover made the advert for the Rover Evoque in British Columbia they could have saved a bit copying Cliff.

We could extract a car whatsthisthen from the video but this is all we get is this.

When I see the reg for CitroJim's AX I am reminded of this tune....

Not originally the Muppets but they did "acquire it"

"Mah Na Mah Na" was written by composer Piero Umiliani for an Italian "mondo" film (exploitative pseudo-documentaries) about life (mostly sex-related) in Sweden, titled Svezia, Inferno e Paradiso (Sweden, Heaven and Hell).
