Re: P.E.Jukebox-your selections please
Good to go back to some classic original blues which have influenced generations of artists since.
Pickled Egg Jukebox...10 Classic Blues Tracks
For some reason one of the original selections Elmore James' Dust My Broom has subsequently been blocked so here's Robert Johnson's original.

John Smiths are in the chair over at the Pickled Egg Quiz, so here's a blast from the past which they used in their Adverts for a time

Never know which is which with John Smiths and Sam Smiths although we used to pass the John Smiths brewery regularly on our way to Doncaster.

POTD inspired track. Posted up a flower identified by Bobins as a A Campanula rotundifolia.
A Scottish Bluebell so here's another Scottish Bell...Maggie and taggart to boot. I see there is a longer version as you would expect but it gets so much in a couple of minutes its a class act in its own shortened form for the TV intro/outro

On a similar theme there is a long version of the "Whatever Happened to you" theme from "whatever happened to the Likely Lads"
It was written by Mike Hugg one of the founding members of Manfred Mann with the words from Ian La Frenais.

A bit of a diffferent rendition of the fields of athenry, not by a group raucous men belting it out.

Almost nice but her voice is a bit weak and swamped by the musicians.
This is a bit odd, a serendipitous discovery, as most are:

Re: P.E.Jukebox-your selections please
As this evening's topical chat has had a theme I thought this was the appropriate track:
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

With a nod to Neil's Coldplay submission in relation to daylight time saving.
Never listened to the original before and don't regret it.
This sounds far better and the instrumentalists much easier on the eye.

In view of my extraordinary sighting today it just has to be:

Audi used the song in their superbowl advert for the Audi E-tron (as spotted yesterday by yours truly in Wylam)
A very, very, familiar song but an unusual treatment
Interesting or Awful......interesting in my book

Re: P.E.Jukebox-your selections please
I found that very interesting indeed!! Firstly they matched the voices very well, I think if you play that with your eyes closed and have to count the number of singers you would be very short of the right number. I even found it difficult to detect some of the language changes. Very clever, and I assume with my zero knowledge of contemporary music that the song comes from the film depicted in the PIP which I believe was from "Frozen"?
