One of the singles which just missed out on my selections for DID was:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Collect another 8 to go with it and have another go Mick. I've got my 9 original Album Selections, and a rather scratchy and low-fi collection of Nine from Scott's Box :-D

Have to say its quite a pleasant memory lane trip just letting Brian Ferry/Roxy music autoplay on from Same Old Scene been the background soundtrack so far today. As well as a little bit of Ice Cream Chimes selections. Wonder what is the best ice cream chimes tune...….. :?:

Well I am putting forward this as my choice for the best ever ice cream van chime. Popeye the sailor man is the tune of our most familiar Ice cream van, but having found out that Captain Scott took a version of this chime to the Antarctic its one to listen out for and recognise as a bit of class.

So its Oh Oh Antonio the gets the nod from me. So what's the tune your local van plays?

The trade...ie the chime makers unsurprisingly offer a large list of tunes, and any custom tunes you like. Here's one firms offerings http://www.microminiatures.com/tunes.html

Sousa's Liberty Bell....nice.

Swedish Rhapsody No 1 Midsommarvaka, given the Percy Faith treatment here, is no stranger but a bit of a rarity in the Ice Cream Chimes world.

Ice cream van chimes version here

Not a huge leap from Ice Cream Vans to Music Boxes but I did find this quite enchanting:

And here's a popular artist's version:

Time to post up another of my DID singles but I have a small problem. I originally picked this because I love the song and so I went for the oldest version I could find. I have now listened to two more versions and picked a different first choice. They are all good but you should pick and listen to the one which appeals to you most, (no prizes for guessing which one Steve will go for :-D )

Foregone conclusion Mike. I never rated it at all until I heard her sing it.

Yes Neil that is definitely a not often played track. I have just checked my two albums and its on the Anthology but I don't think I've played it more than a couple of times. He did write a lot of good songs that didn't really get played much. :-D

An unknown for me but the last album I bought was "Here Goes Rhymin' Simon". Last listened to this morning - the CD replacement at least, LPs downstairs.
