Top of the Pop's best ever theme tune by Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS)

Long before I realised Led Zeppelin existed.....I bought the single on the RAK label.

Her version of the Ballad of Lucy Jordan got an airing on the car radio the other day.

This autoplayed on from that track

Nice one Neil!! That has long been one of my favourite songs but I have never seen that extremely well done pictorial composition before. I especially liked the "two children, begging in rags" shot. :) :) :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I was driving for work in Newcastle one day and had the local radio on - not Metro.
The DJ said that Peter Sarstedt's brother Eden Kane, was working in a bank on Westgate Road.
Turned around to ask my boss about it - he was one of the three Kane brothers who owned the business, to ask if he knew about it.
He immediately began dancing and singing whatever it was that Eden Kane was known for.
When he was done he just said "No, haven't a clue"!
Turns out it was cobblers and Eden Kane lived in the Bahamas.

Of course, Eden Kane wasn't his real name

I suspect it may have been this track Steve which is the only one I remember him for:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

No, it was the one I posted. Eden Kane wasn't anyone I bothered about but had heard of him. Had no idea that he and Peter Sarstedt were brothers. I did recognise the song when my boss started singing it though.
Never heard that other one.

I was surprised by the Ghost Dance, only ever heard it by Patti Smith before.

I had a copy of "Boy's Cry" which was on Fontana with the blue label in my collection, for which I tended to buy 1 record a month from the top ten at the time. Hence my thinking it was his most popular hit!! It must have been around 63-66 as that is when I had the paper round money to pay for the records!! :-D

We’ll never even realised it when Delaney’s Donkey came to mind this morning that today is 17th March.

Come on the folks, the Pickled Egg had a Burns Night Special, how about the best of Irish for today.

A bit of joining in and entertainment are always welcome.

I am tempted to dig Lisa Kelly up, but I’ll stick with the light hearted classic that is Paddy McGinty’s Goat

And here's another with a tenuous link to another of our threads:
