I bet Neil's new leaf can't sing, let alone add to the wealth of chemical knowledge on the FCF this week!! :-D

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

She does a good version of Fields of Gold written by that Wallsend lad but inspired by the Barley fields of Wiltshire in front of his house :-D

Indeed she does. Sting was impressed anyway.

One that pleasantly surprised me was this:

Hadn't seen her for years, what a beautiful woman she has become.

Contrary to her appearance here, she is a very enthusiastic scuba diver, climber and diver out of aeroplanes.

Well I thought I should put up a track linked to the POTD but only the 900 posts are there so far, which led me to this melodic piece of choral work:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Having posted the 900 miles I was autoplayed onto this track which has to be the most determined example of "the show must go on" I have ever come across:

Is thhis in the same genre? The song featured on a sketch on "the Union Man" from Smith and Jones which I came across tonight. Beautifully played by a brass band...have to dig that out.

The autoplay can be strange - I usually turn it off but this morning was watching a clip from a Dutch chat show and it was clearly part of someone's playlist - went on to play Jackie Evancho, which I definitely wouldn't have expected - Linda Ronstadt, EmmyLou Harris, Alison Krauss and more.

While I was typing in came your Brazilian Pianist!

Cant find a decent brass band rendition on you tube of blow the wind southerly

so to illustrate here's that piece from Smith and Jones sketch. The brass on has a lovely tone, versions I found were far too loud and harsh.

I have just autoplayed on to Delius "On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring" bit out of season, but I may dig Delius up again when it comes round to this years Pickled Egg Jukebox Winter Selection with his "Sleigh Ride".

Cowboy Junkies have an album titled "500 Miles" but the songs are "200 More Miles" and "Miles From Our Home".

I always find a lot of melancholy in their music, a sort of quiet desperation, as in the following -

Come Calling, Her song

Counterpoint to -

Come Calling, His Song

None as tragic as "The River Trilogy Part II, Bea's Song

Well that just thoroughly broke me.

Just stood in a room of probably 100 people all belting out Country Roads.

That song when heard live has an incredibly strong emotional impact on me and leaves me crying my eyes out by the end of it. Made the weekend for me though.

Bit more then 100 here, but there is definitely power and emotion in a crowd singing.
