Bit of a tangent.....
Little Fluffy Clouds samples Ricky Lee Jones.
The Blue Nile with Ricky Lee Jones - on the CD single this comes from, if you listen carefully you can hear the dust in the room it's recorded in 8-)

The total lack of weeds was what made me look twice. So given that it is model track, is that what "Different Trains" means--models? :-D

From the fount of all knowledge - Wikipedia - "During World War II, Reich made train journeys between New York and Los Angeles to visit his parents, who had separated. Years later, he pondered the fact that, as a Jew, had he been in Europe instead of the United States at that time, he might have been travelling in Holocaust trains.
Steve Reich's earlier work had frequently used tape, looped and played back at different speeds. However, Different Trains was a novel experiment, using recorded speech as a source for melodies."

Lola is an old favourite and far better than many expect. Frequently vilified due to her appearance

A few others in that category

Anastasia Huppman.

Khatia Buniatishvili

Anna Federova

Yuja Wang

Even the relatively demure Alice Sarah Ott is criticised for her dress on occasion.
Completely undeservedly.

Peaky Blinders fan Gibbo? It has featured at least 184 tracks over its various series and this has a bit of a list

I'll dig one out after a peruse!

Dicordant at times and atmospheric and characteristic vocals.

The Unthanks are from up here, so while not being a 100% fan, I do appreciate their work.

Series 3 Episode 3 Peaky Blinders Rachel Unthank (great name!) and the Winterset
