Re: P.E.Jukebox your selections please
The mention of Out of Town on POTD reminded me of another childhood favourite of mine, Tales of the Riverbank, the theme tune of which was my inspiration to learn guitar many moons ago! So I thought I'd pop it up here to try and inspire others:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Was that the Steve Hackett, or Steve Hackett in his living room?

Never got heavily into Genesis fandom but always rated this track as one of Genesis' finest

Re: P.E.Jukebox your selections please
Never got away with Genesis at all but some of Peter Gabriel's stuff is OK, although I knew nothing of him until I found Happy Rhodes* who covers some of his songs.
Happy Rhodes covers
That I like better than the originals.
*Happy - her real name. It was Kimberly but everyone called her happy when she was a kid so she changed it when she was 16 - is grand-niece of Cecil Rhodes.

Peter Gabriel did an emotional little ditty with Kate Bush "Dont Give Up".

Peter Gabriel was imortalised by having his name writ large on the parapet of a bridge over the railway (no, not the pub of the same name where Pete Townsend allegedly discovered destruction as a stage act & figures on the sleeve of "Meaty, Beaty, Big & Bouncy") in Harrow.

Re: P.E.Jukebox your selections please
Here's something which I thought would be impossible to find. As it turns out only an 8 second burst of piano music on Mortimer and Whitehouse Go Fishing in Yorkshire.
But well done BBC even though it was only 8 seconds it appeared on the Music Played list on the I player for that particular episode.
I'll dig it out but unsurprising to me it struck a chord when I find out that it was Bruce Hornsby tinkling the ivories. The song titled "Song C" lets see if youtube has got it....

That's kinda nice but a shame about the keyboard.
I was reminded of this, which was inescapable at the time. I like lots of his compositions but not this.

Dragged it up from memory, this deep and emotional song, selected for the PE Jukebox by Bobins

Re: P.E.Jukebox your selections please
Interesting thought Neil!! To me the melody sounds more like a slowed down version of this:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
