Mike Harding: "Dedicated to the memory of my father, Flight Sergeant Louis Arthur ‘Curly’ Harding, a navigator in Lancaster Bombers, who died with his crew when his plane was shot down returning from a raid over Germany. Its also dedicated to the memory my good friend Jurgen Boch of Cologne, who was a small child in a bomb shelter in Germany on the night my father died, and to my mother who was a bride, a widow and a mother within the space of a year."

One of the legends of the Pickled Egg Jukebox 10 Truckin' songs is in the UK, and has done a session for Bob Harris to be broadcast later in the summer.

Pickledeggjukebox 10 Trucking Songs

Got to be one of my favorite playlists. Starts off with the classic Highway Patrol by Junior Brown.

But its Dale Watson who is over in the Uk at the moment so I will highlight his superb "Flat Tire" from the playlist

..and this could well be our Wendy singing Joni in an Essex Pub....If only the silly punters would shut up with their inane small talk we could hear her better.....

She picks some good stuff for her "Sets" more Joni and a bit of Carole King if you can put up with the pub noise.

Yep, I have that and a couple of other videos of her (somewhere). Shame she doesn't seem up to the same standard as when with MO.

There was some dispute over whether it was her or Sally Oldfield on that or this:

Too lazy to go and find the LP or CD to find out :(

Have that Carol King LP too :) One of the very few female singers that my wife would listen to, along with Joni and the Webb Sisters.

I woke with an earworm.
Took a while before I could even scrape enough together to do a Google search for what it might be.
It was rather surprising as I have never paid this band any attention in the past except for one performance, which wasn't this so how this tune and refrain should appear is mystifying.

Not my usual fare. Have to say that Nancy Wilson is looking extremely good.

The only other one I know:

My old friend saw this man in cabaret years ago and fell in love with him, then he appeared on stage with Margaret Thatcher during an election campaign, she being a hard line red then hated his guts and wouldn't listen to his music.

So a couple of weeks ago I found his CD in a charity shop and dumped it into her lap. :-D

Out to lunch today she popped it into the cd player and now she's in love again :-D

This is one of he tracks, I think some of you will like it if only for the backing instrumentals.
