Try this for size. I had it on LP until the sun warped the disk, this is part of the tv show series, should entertain a while.

A new album from Jackie Evancho and a new venture after her taking control of her life and career - at 19!
Her own record label. Hence the title of the album despite it being her ninth.

Much to my shame I'd forgotten this lady until I sorted out some old music cassettes today.

..and surprising that her most well-known song was "Don't it make my brown eyes blue" when they look pretty blue to start with......

Haven't heard this one for ages when it came on the radio Sunday Night on Michael Poulter's excellent show on Radio Newcastle.
Like it Upbeat and lively!
Bit more downbeat, another one from the show, but I'll have a bit of Alison Krauss any day of the week.
Hope you enjoy at least one of them!

Like that oneSteve.
Any excuse for me to post this one up. A different genre altogether, but from one of the classic albums for me. Song of the wind from Caravanserai by Santana. Excellent little story about Michael Shrieve ‘s drum track as comment number 1.
Regards Neil

Speaking of whom:
A more energetic performance.
I was quite taken with her as the first time I saw her it was this or something similar and was impressed with her dancing around with great abandon whilst still playing perfectly.
Precursor to Bond and Cascada.

Re: P.E.Jukebox-your selections please
It is disappointing that this particular episode of Desert island discs from 1944 is not available, but at least we see Guy Gibsons music choices. I'll select one for the PE jukebox just for fun
Original broadcast Sat 19 Feb 1944 18:35 Forces Programme
Interesting selections including 2 from Richard Wagner the Flying Dutchman and Ride of the Valkyries
His list is here'.......
