Re: The Pickled Egg Jukebox

Paloma Faith does a very decent job of her cover of this, currently getting a bit of radio airplay.

but the PE Jukebox likes to go back to the originals so here is Mama Cass

Autoplaying on to other stuff in her repertoire is a joy!

Regards Neil

Yes and when you get John Denver, and Mama Cass together, performing a great song, real musical instruments skilfully and effortlessly played, and an audience enjoying every live second without filming it on their mobile phones!

Yes and autoplay has just picked up Joni with Both Sides Now......beautiful

Not a particularly exciting video to accompany this, but a cracking theme tune for what was an outstanding (for its day) drama series.

Like a bit of Tomorrows World...I'm from the Raymond Baxter era!

Two superb themes from a couple of current affairs rivals, have already made it to the pickled egg selections

Panorama

and just shading it the fantastic theme from
World In Action

The Edge Of Darkness was superb and a good theme tune, quite fitting.

In "The Brothers" I thought they were all posers but Gabrielle Drake was good (Nick Drake's sister)
Kate O'Mara wasn't bad either :)

The Jan Hammer tracks take me back - reminds me of when I used to nip down to see my mate where he worked building replica Cobra and Ferrari Daytona replicas :)

Another track from 'back in the day' - the day being when rallying was, errrr, frantic ? Is that the right word ?

On the list to the rgiht, this showed up:

Not a TV theme, sorry.
Reminds me I bought the DVD six months ago and still have to watch it.

The film is extremely disturbing, makes me shudder.
Madeleine Stowe is magnificent though.

I would have loved to have seen the musicians recording themes like The Two Ronnies and The Professionals
