PE Jukebox...Musical Monopoly 10 left

Unread post by NewcastleFalcon »

Debut for Humble Pie I think, this one mentions both Community Chest and Chance!

Have to say the barrel has to be scraped for a track with Pall Mall in it. Now there's bound to be tha odd PE Punter who has seen ALW's "Cats", and remembers "It must and it shall be spring in Pall Mall, While Bustopher Jones wears white white spats!"

Back to tradition, Cluff is back to his best in this month's issue of Cheers North East.(page 30)..distributed free to pubs in the north East, and available online

Hope the cyclists amongst us enjoy the gentle poke! I like the asides of detail in his strips like the book one of the cyclists is clutching!

In the 1920's and 1930's "The Wizard of the Strings" Roy Smeck was one of the true greats on guitar...banjo and ukelele too

Couple of examples here, probably a Pickled Egg Debut for the Hawaiian guitar sound

Limehouse Blues

A bit random but I keep having to drag this crew out for an airing.
Hubert Von Goisern & Alpinkatzen with Zabine (Kapfinger)

The guitarist is superb,

Aural insanity :)

Not far away from Austria Max Bruck created this masterpiece, and how briliantly it is performed here. That is a 1714 Dolphin Stradivarius in the hands of Akiko Suwanai. The familiar bit starts at about 10 minutes in, but gorgeous from start to finish in my book.

Red sun today Steve, and amongst many from Songlyrics.com including Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie, Neil Young also appears on the list, so being one of your favourites here's Neil's little song!

Have to admit Neil, I never listen to "Silver & Gold"
Bought it on release and was very disappointed in it.

Never saw the red sun but it was dark as night here mid afternoon.
