Having given "Pleasantville" a passing mention on the "Electric Cars what have you spotted thread, here's a couple of songs from the sound track.....

Fiona Apple did do her version of "Across the Universe" by John Lennon/Beatles but not that keen on the video.

So here's Etta James

And Fiona Apple doing the other song from the soundtrack

Its not a bad soundtrack at all, something a bit more upbeat from Gene Vincent

The style of guitar playing on your clip Steve reminded me of the old theme tune for Jack Hargreaves "Out of Town" TV Programme, and yes here's the very "tune", albeit the "Out of Town" version was much shorter!

Volia!

You did well to recognise that Neil - I can barely make it out for the coconut shells.

It isn't at all apparent from the video but apart from being a wonderful guitar player, Xue Fei Yang is stunningly beautiful.
I met her a couple of years ago and she is both a knockout and a wonderful personality.

There is a lovely story about her and Joaquin Rodrigo.

John Williams was so impressed by her when she was about 16 that he gave her that Greg Smallman guitar, worth around $20,000

It is a bit outside the threads purpose but I found this rather interesting:

I always found the sitar parts of Donovan's songs fascinating - played by Shawn Philips.

Ravi Shankar's daughter Anoushka:

I bought this album when I was 17-ish and still play it occasionally.

At the Pickled Egg, its very difficult to go "outside the threads purpose" :-D and you haven't got to worry about Ravi Shankar's daughter Anoushka, she's already been welcomed in and performed at the Pickled egg before! :-D

She was part of the "Pickled Egg Song Contest 2017" on May 13th :!:

Came very close to seeing her at The Sage but chickened out after the Bridie Jackson fiasco.

Now What does a jukebox in a pub need.......a Drinking Song of course....courtesy of Giuseppe Verde

Nice shaky video. The artists....Tarja Turunen and Raimo Sirkiä..

and the random link...the castle from the Tintin Adventure...King Ottokar's Sceptre....see I-Spy Citroen H-Vans...or Picture(s) of the Day!

Regards Neil

PS. liked this one from Tarja as well which autoplayed after the drinking song, another genre for the PE Jukebox.

Google just sent me this. I do occasionally listen to the original as it always seemed so insane.

Speaking of insane, I was just reading about the new Lindsay Buckingham/Christine McVie album and thought of this craziness :)
