Re: A nice 2-tone
Now this raises an interestingly pointless question. Is a car with a different coloured roof a real 2-tone? To my mind a 2-tone has it's 2 colours split on the side usually around the swage, or is that suage?, line, and one with a different coloured roof is not a 2-tone if the rest of the body is the same colour. Were that to be considered a 2-tone then I would argue that every convertible is a 2-tone even if the shades are very similar as in white hood on white car!!

Surprisingly Mick this thread has kept going with a reasonable level of entertainment for over 300 posts and over 16,000 views without being encumbered by a pedantic definition.mickthemaverick wrote: ↑13 Nov 2020, 13:47 Now this raises an interestingly pointless question. Here's to the next 300 posts even if they happen to include some cars with different coloured roofs

Re: A nice 2-tone
As far as I'm concerned, if a car is finished in two distinct colours then it's a two-tone..
The DS nicely fits that criteria
As does a Mini with a chequerboard on the roof

Re: A nice 2-tone, here's a Renault 4CV as a "starter for 10
The thread occasionally does bludgeon slightly off topic I'll admit
