As seen from the windows of the Allegro Owners Club (otherwise known as the Home for the Hopelessly Insane), next to the Citroen Owners Club (which is know as the Home for the Willingly Insane!).

To put an ironic twist on Allegro bashing, my dad had one for nearly six months as a courtesy car in 1977.... While his almost new Honda was being fixed and waiting for parts.

Autotrader vehicle check is not what it used to be for the classic on carcam
Vehicle details found: RNG441E
GREY, 1967 UNKNOWN UNKNOWN SALOON

It looks like a Jensen CV-8 mk 3 which is probably written on the back but is difficult for me to see!

made from/with a load of old left over BMC bits!!!!, interior door handles for one,

i used to work for company at Palmarsh garage near Hythe Kent,

we used to do paint/body work on quite a few classic cars, including Roll's canardlies, Astons and Jensons,

these cars always hung about for weeks and were just worked on in between the run of the mill stuff,

so they used to be bought in and out of the workshop as and when,

on the likes of the Intercestics being finished they would not run right as they were choked up through being bought in and out,

my boss used to take them out onto the road and sit there with the engine running ( well coughing and spluttering ) to clear them out, great balls of fire spurting from there tail pipes :yikes: :missile: :missile:

Lovely 8-)

They had a Chrysler engine didn't they? Someone at work has one and he used to say how thirsty it was. It always smelt of pure petrol whenever I heard it running (rumbling)...

He wrote it off on the M1 :(
