Excellent new on the welder James :D

Xantia fuel gauges are notorious... Not to be trusted.... I go on miles and always fill up again as soon as the gauge gets near indicating half-full...

I may even get a chance to weld it today it's payday and I haven't had a penny. I've rung work and told them I've no petrol so will be late by about 45 mins after they manage to pay me. For now I'm cuddling the dog, I think they'll sort it out fast as I've a camper van partially assembled which must go out today. Tomorrows my last day anyway so if they are awkward I'll just take it as unauthorised holiday.

It was rapidly resolved, I was in work for 10.15. Last day today and no disasters yet this morning.

I have absolutely everything for welding tomorrow bar the paint. My friend, who is better at welding than me anyway, will be doing most of the work freeing me up to prepare for moving. The windscreen wiper seller finally responded and says that they have no Valeo ones in stock so they'd like me to send back the Bosch one and wait to hear an eta for a proper Xantia one. I think I'll ask for a refund and just modify a poundshop wiper, it's needed for the MOT.

I don't think that the rear wiper is tested for the MOT.

Rear wiper isn't an MOT item.

The Xantia sailed through the mot yesterday without so much as an advisory. I have some pics of the door shut and wiper to upload later. It's a big relief, I'm 300 miles away starting my new job.

Wow, result eh! I'm dreading an MOT on mine. There's tons of work needing doing. Just hoping 2017 is going to be a better year than this one.

Ho ho ho ..... then you're hoping for too much this xmas young man [emoji3][emoji318]. Even i know not to wish for too much. A lesson learned after many disappointing years of nothingness. Being a 'new years eve' baby my xmas' and birthdays just seem to morph into one. I'll get back in the V6 saddle after my next holiday in early Jan.
