No, it shows totally clean on anpr. I think they just want a good look at my rare and interesting car. I wish they'd just ask like normal people. I'm rapidly losing faith in and respect for them.
Possibly a marker on me, they're hell bent on drug/alchol testing me. Good luck to them, I hope those testers don't cost very much.

That is what the PNC does, it flags a marker, nothing to do with the main ANPR database which is DVLA linked.....next time your stopped and are shown to be "clean" ask them to check when the marker was applied...one of my cars was like that...after 5 stops in a week I asked them and was never stopped again.

Yes, I had a Golf many years ago that had been owned by a chap who'd been done for D&D twice, and I got stopped plenty of times before I asked about the PNC thing. They removed the marker and I was never stopped in that car again.

I get stopped at customs annoyingly often though. I'd say 1 trip in 3 I get stopped!

Thankfully they've lost interest, I've passed several traffic cars today and no blue lights. I hope this continues.

Im happy to report Red gave up the driveshaft willingly with just the slightest of persuasion. Green will be waiting until about Wednesday I expect for me to get a chance to swap them.

I noticed today the pair of hydractive centre spheres I received with green are actually a rear hydractive and an acculumator sphere. It's possible the accumulator on the car is actually a center sphere. The previous owner had bought a full set but was unable to access the center spheres.

The front center sphere seems to have burst during the switch issue. Fronts hard and I've got air making its way round now. Whatever's happened the accumulator on the car is destined for the center sphere position and I'll fit the new acculumator correctly. Might not be perfect but my tracks no fun without soft mode.

Tonight's beautifully clear, the stars are magnificent up here. I'm spending most of this morning outside drinking hot chocolate and admiring constellations.

Towing a boat last week, the cops pulled me over. I had a brand new number plate on the trailer board. The board read NVW instead of NWV.
The guy had made a mistake on printing the board from the log book. I made a bigger ass of it by putting it on without checking!!
They let me off.
The cold air stream ATM is giving some lovely sky at night James. WNW here and dropping to 3deg at night and clearing. Moon Crescent alone last night was awesome!

Yes, I could see loads of stars over Angelsea where the light usually hides them last night. Dads lent me his binoculars so I can get a closer look for the rest of the week.
I'm struggling today with a lot of work that's outside my talents. Feeling grumpy and fed up so off to the beach with dog for an hour now.

Ay up!

Here's interesting.

On a trip up the M1, I came out of the services at Trowell to find a grizzled police sergeant looking at Fifi while scratching his head. I asked what the problem was.

He pointed the camera at his squad car and all the details flashed up on the ANPR gun's screen. He then pointed it at Fifi's. Nothing. At this point, a cry of triumph emitted from the boot of the squad car and a young constable extracted a large, bulky pack. The cops them checked the font which was OK. Then the spacing. Once again, OK. They looked at the border printed on the plate which looked OK. So why is it not ANPR readable? They didn't know! I did ask if I should change the plates and they said no, they checked out.

I think it is to do with the plates because the ANPR cameras on the supermarket car parks round here never do register Fifi's plate but they have been checked out.

So what is it?

I wonder if that means that Otterchops could really shift along motorways without you getting any letters from the speed camera operators?

That was my first thought!

Otterchops is clearly a stealth car!

Back when I was about 18 I remember seeing number plates that were supposedly invisible to cameras in a magazine. I wonder if otterchops has managed to pick some up. There were LCD panels you could put over them as well which blacked out the plate at the flick of a switch. I always wondered if the cameras would read them anyway with LCD screens polarising light.

Greens had a good run up the coast today. No major dramas but the drivers door lock barrel has given up. I'm just warming up the soldering iron to transfer a diode to the remote as a temporary fix.

I have a bit of a dilemma with locks now. Green has broken drivers door and boot barrels, one remote key and one normal key. Red has all working barrels, 2 remote keys and one normal. However reds ignition barrel shows signs of wear that greens does not. It's had issues with the fans and also the headlights are a lot dimmer than greens.
