It is prity good, I'm spoilt in many ways. I have to work really hard to be granted this privilege though and it can be lonely so I guess not for everyone. I think I may wear out the camera, I've mostly used my phone but I have a good Olympus micro 4/3 DSLR which now no longer lives in the cupboard. Since all the plants arrived the animals have really been thriving here, there can only be more to come as the Summer goes on.

I was given this for Christmas. I have still to use them, but in your area I suspect the battery would fail, as it would need a LOT of charging!

They look absolutely brilliant.
I'd have already bought them but I'm just in the middle of telling myself off for spending far too much money on guitars and telescopes.
I will however be getting a pair in the future, I bet there's so much I don't see at night they would show up.

They do NOT have a zoom facility, but they do have 12X optical magnification on both the lenses and the camera.

12x32 is a nice power for magnification against wobble. I have 12x25 Binoculars which are probably about as powerful as I can manage in the field without massive aperture or image stabilisation. Get them out James and give them a go, I'd really like to hear your opinion on the video quality before I put them on my shopping list.

OK, I will give them a try. There is (on the underside) a standard tripod fixing thread, so you can set them up on said tripod.

Thanks, I look forward to seeing or hearing how they do.
I wouldn't imagine 12x32 would need a tripod unless you were set up in one place for hours.
The aperture is more than big enough to make wobble invisible.
Maybe with the camera things will be a little different though.

I'm not really an animal lover at all James but I do love birds and especially owls and their raptor cousins...

I also love water birds too...

last evening kayaking around Caldecotte lake in Milton Keynes was an absolute joy with a massive population of swans, including both yearling and newly-hatched cygnets, geese, coots, moorhens and the occasional seagull sitting on the bouys! Squint and imagine a bit and you could be at the seaside!

And then, on the shores of the lake, look out for herons

It's one thing about kayaking I love - being in amongst the avian wildlife is magical :)

For the non animal lovers amusement we have a great variety of helicopters as well. Particularly the Chinook and the Apache are very common here. The Apaches make the strangest noises dependant on weather and approach angle. Sometimes you can hear the engines but usually it's just the sound of the rotor blades slicing air that makes it to the ground. It's quite surreal to observe. The Chinook of course can be heard about a week before it arrives as it's massive Rolls Royce engines are not ashamed to make some noise. I've actually been up in a Chinnook as an air cadet so I'm particularly fond of the old sky busses.

I think I did rather well at the bootsale today. I bought a Bang and Olufsen Beocenter 2002 for £25.

It's all apparently working but I have to go to Wales to fetch my speakers which is happening within the next 3 weeks.
I'm wondering if anyone knows what type of connectors I need for the speaker outputs and also what the P1 to P4 levels do?

Hopefully it doesn't need a new needle as the cartridge is £275!!! It seems ok test playing a record without speakers so I'm hopeful.

The old junk one I have can now be relegated to the bedroom or sold, not sure but will probably get rid. Tempted to keep it because it records to CD but I doubt I shall.

Stylus is perfect. I just wired it up to some Phillips ceiling speakers. They are 4ohm rather than the necessary 8ohms so I used 2 pairs in series.
The sound is in another league to my Yamaha amp and mission speakers up in Wales. Can't wait to get the missions onto this, they're going to sing.

It seems P1 to P4 are radio presets. Just need an aerial to test them out, better find a coat hanger. B and O would hate me for that probably.

Turns out my tape player doesn't work, it's trying but it's not turning. Very full of dust so a good strip and clean should sort it.

I just checked the price of vintage B and O speakers. Missions will be sold now, no one seems interested in the old stuff and there's a good choice for below £30.

They are DIN connectors James - I have the same on my Sonab kit and they were the same on my Beomaster.
Rather crap compared to RCA/phono plugs.
