You do know that aftermarket head units require their own power feeds (switched and unswitched) to be run?
The OEM ones are integrated into the car's multiplex system, so what appear to be power feeds are not (in a straightforward sense).
The usual thing is to pick up feeds from the aux power and lighter sockets in the centre console.
