Any confirmation of RDS on those chinese RD45's? There´s no TA-button, so it might indicate that there´s no RDS.

And btw, is there anyone here who might know wether it´s possible to get line level signal out from RD45? There´s some rumours in the internet that on RD4 it´s possible to change speaker outs to line level outs, and requires programming with Lexia. If on RD45 this would be possible, then I would be very intersted on it. It would be easy to connect external DSP and amplifier to it.

Also, is there any info about USB-support, does RD45 support HDD's and big music collections?

I know of a similar discussion regarding the RT6 unit, because it supports 5 amplifier types: internal, external analog, ext digital, arkamys analog, arkamys digital ... as I've retrofitted the original Hi-Fi amp, in my case, the nav unit is set to external digital ... per my knowledge, no one figured out how to get the line out signal ... yet ... that would of course open a lot of new audio possibilities ... :D ...

I've got myself this RD45 unit, and I have diagbox, but im not sure where I should be looking to set this up correctly. In the menu (car display) I have a mobile Icon but it doesnt show bluetooth on it.

Can anyone help?

Do you have a user manual for it? The diagbox shouldn't be required (VIN coding, yes, but apart from it, everything else should be accessible from the menus) ...

No manual unfortunately, don't suppose you have a link to vin coding?

No, but it is fairly simple ... connect to the RD45 unit, go into manual telecoding, and the first option is VIN Coding, where you have to carefully input the correct VIN of the target car, and that's it

Hmm the lexia doesn't even seem to recognize the radio. Whether or not I am doing the right thing however is a different matter

The BSI must see it (or a bit of it) as the Tele Icon shows, is the screen/display the later one ? and is it a later China unit or the Tunisian made early type ?

Update your lexia. I just saw some update info for Lexia, that stated that it fixes problems with RD45 and VIN input. It was from last year I think.

It looks like the VIN is coded but the Radio ECU is coming up as not recognized unfortunately.
