I'm quite impressed David with the combination of ride and handling. Not as sharp as my old Zx for turn in but not bad. It's already embarrassed an audi driver who was tailgating the other day.

There isn't a better looking Coupe in it's class. That looks a nice example. Get it rustproofed Mark, these have got to start climbing in price soon.

I've got some Bilt Hamber stuff from when I did the Zx, I think I'll order a bit more and that should do fine. It's off the road through the winter and tucked up in the garage other than the odd run on dry days. It really is ridiculous what price you can pick one up for.

The coupe will be called on for daily duties for a couple of days , I need the garage for a few days to prepare two wooden doors/frames for fitting this weekend. I'm looking forward to using it for a while, as much as I like the blingo it's nice to have a change once in a while. problem is the 406 tempts you into going the longer route whenever I take it out .

Mark: Did you build those fence panels at your house?

Lexi the fence panels can be bought from any decent fencing/timber specialists, they are available in different heights and styles. Beware though if you fit them into the concrete posts with the concrete gravel boards as the panels are 1.800mm wide and require an add on piece on each side as I think the concrete gravel boards are 1820mm. Also depending on manufacturer some are screwed together and some are stapled, go for the screwed ones as the staples eventually pop out. They do matching gates too. If I did a few miles in it Steve I may have considered lpg but yearly mileage may only be around the 1500/2000 mile mark.

I know B&Q and maybe Wickes do the continental style panels, 1.8x1.8 around £50 per panel, they do last very well even if slightly neglected like ours.

I'm on afternoons at work this next week so I'll be using the 406 and leaving the blingo at home, looks like the scenic route to work for me then. I really must find some time to have a good poke around as due to work commitments etc I've not really done much or really used it as much as I should, any way it's out of the garage for the week while I fit some new exterior doors/frames to the house and the old doors are in the garage until I can get them to the tip.
