If I understand right you switched connectors and now it works? Before everything else worked just fog lights not? Seems that I have exactly the same problem...

Yup! Thats it! There are 3 connecters in the area, indicator, fog lamps and I assume lamp washers, one was all grey, one grey and purple inside and one All purple on mine, kinda makes sense to connect the matching colours up!
